Photographer of lonely cars & light. Based in Houston, TX.
Trained in graphic design, Kevin McCauley got into photography purely to create dramatic portfolio images of his design and advertising work. But like all things in his life, those skills were eventually funneled toward cars. You might say it snowballed from there.
Kevin has been professionally shooting cars for seven years, with past clients that include Genesis, Jaguar, Mazda, Audi Sport, Aston Martin, Lincoln, McLaren, Lexus, Shell Lubricants, and AutoTrader. His work can be seen in Road & Track, Autoweek, Jalopnik and more.
He still has time for freelance graphic design and illustration, which – as you may have surmised – also ended up becoming about cars. He designed the book for the relaunch of the Petersen Automotive Museum, and he created and maintains Automoji, a Porsche-themed iMessage App for iPhone that features over 250 emoji illustrations of Porsches throughout history, from Type 64 for Taycan Turbo.
